Is this an original stone or a reproduction? Something about it seems a little off, but I may just be unfamiliar with the carver.

This is probably the work of Bradford carver Joseph Marble (1725-1805), father of carver John Marble (1764-1844). Joseph used all-caps lettering early, then included lower case. A lot of his work is in bad shape because of the stone he used, but there are a few well-preserved slates too.

The uniformity of the typeface does make me wonder if this is a reproduction.
