History, grad school, and gravestones!
This appears to be Joseph the son of Edmund Rice, the Sudbury immigrant of that name and a very well studied fellow:http://www.edmund-rice.org:http://www.edmund-rice.org/era5gens/p2.htm#i159He looks to be my 9th great uncle by marriage, and the smallness of this original population once again amazes me.—RJO
