Granary Burying Ground Tour

Thanks to Boston 1775 for pointing me toward this tour of the Granary Burying Ground on Thursday, 6/18. Perhaps I'll blow off my research project and go if the weather isn't too bad.

I wish I could go. That fellow has also published a guide to Copps Hill that belongs in the library of every Massachusetts gravestone student. It reprints within it the 1878 Whitmore inventory and some good maps (as long as you have a magnifying glass).

I want a map of the Phipps Street cemetery in Charlestown. Have you seen one?

I have not seen a map of Phipps Street, but I'll keep an eye out.

Mr. Wells had a very detailed map of the Granary Burying Ground. I've added both of his books to my Christmas list.

Phipps St. map can be obtained from the Boston Parks and Recreation Dept. Historic Burying Grounds - if anyone goes there an notices a Devens tomb, please let me know. Thanks.
