101 Ways, Part 16: Fell Asleep in the Cradle of Death

Another rainy day pic. Bah.
This stone, by Benjamin Collins, stands in the Old Yard in Columbia, CT. It's beautiful when you can actually see it. I'll take a better pic the next time I visit my parents. The geometric details are intricately carved and the first letter is embellished like the first letter of an illuminated manuscript.
In MEMORY
of the well beloved
Mr. Richard Lyman who
after he had served God
& his generation many
years in this Life by
the will of God fell
asleep in the Cradle of
Death on the 3d day
of June AD 1746 in
the 67th year of his age.
